Meet Dāsi
They say life is a journey, and for me, it has been indeed!
Once a curious, shy, insecure kid, then an inquisitive teenager and finally a relentless seeker.....I never stopped looking for solutions outside the box. I never accepted that there was no way out when I was told so. As we all are unique individuals, how is it possible that one solution would fit all?!
I grew up in a region called Emilia Romagna in Italy, a land of exquisite cuisine and excellent quality products such as parmesan, Parma ham, tortellini, mortadella, homemade pasta etc.
As good as it may sound, it was also the land of people fixated on their looks and image. At that time, not being perfectly shaped was really hard. A kind of cardinal sin!
At 16, I started random dieting, like most people at that age, without knowing what I was doing. That got me into trouble. I messed up my metabolism.
After a few dieting disasters, my hips started growing exponentially, and I didn’t know how to stop them! A feeling of inadequacy devoured me.
When I finally settled in the UK, and only then, I started feeling ‘free’ and decided to focus more on my spiritual and emotional growth.
Emotionally I was growing stronger, but my body weight was still a struggle ... and I thought I was being healthy!
That was it. I had to take responsibility and make a change!!
With time and will, my weight got stable. I kept reading and learning about health and nutrition. On many occasions, I became a reference point for friends and family. I experimented, tried and tested dietary regimes and different forms of exercise.
While my nutritional knowledge was growing, I was helping friends and family with tips and tricks I had mastered during my journey.
And so it started.....
Nutritional therapy is an evidence-based approach aimed to maximise one's health potential through personalised lifestyle and nutritional changes.
In this process, I take into consideration the body as a whole and focus on wide range factors such as lifestyle, genetic, environmental, emotional and spiritual with the final aim to promote health, wellbeing and positivity.
As a naturopathic practitioner, I will consider that we are biochemically unique and each of us has a unique response to similar circumstances. A 'one size fits all' model is outdated and does not work for a lot of people.
I know how hard it can be, I've been through all sorts of challenges and my 'mission' is to make it easier for you as I've mastered a few tricks.
We will work together. It's your time to focus on yourself.
I will help you build up your confidence and and help you take responsibility for your health, becoming empowered and motivated.
I specialise in hypertension, viral infections (i.e.herpes), fungal infections, candida, and fatigue.
Note: Nutritional therapy is not intended to substitute medical advice. Clients with 'red flag' symptoms will be referred to their GP
